ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE:
ecology of care was created and performed for 24-HOUR DRONE AT HOME 🔭 Music without borders, local and global - @basilicahudson's #24HOURDRONE went online Sat, 4/25 - Sun, 4/26, 2020 Noon - noon.
trinkets live performed and recorded ecology of care from 4am-5am Sunday 4/26/2020 on twitch tv.
ecology of care serves as a fundraiser for #FreeBlackMamas, an annual campaign by National Bail Out in honor of Mother's [Caregivers] Day which seeks to raise awareness about the human and financial costs of money bail, its impact on Black mothers and caregivers; and coordinates tactical bail outs nationwide to free caregivers so they can spend Mother’s Day with their families.
"National Bail Out is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration. We are people who have been impacted by cages — either by being in them ourselves or witnessing our families and loved ones be encaged. We are queer, trans, young, elder, and immigrant.
With your generous support we are able to continue to bail out community members, provide life-changing supportive services and resource groups who are organizing to transform the criminal justice system."
